In 2020, with a 52% increase in sales in Europe (vs. 2019), electric bikes have definitely established themselves as a safe, fast and environmentally friendly way to travel. The global sanitary crisis has accelerated this trend. Many governments have encouraged people to use their bikes rather than public transport, seen as a means of spreading the virus. As a result, more and more cities are introducing electric bike sharing systems.
