A true academic and cultural center, the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia is one of the oldest cities in the United States. Since 2012, Richmond has been organizing one of the biggest street art festivals in the world: the RVA Street Art Festival! The city has the reputation of being an open-air gallery thanks to many frescoes painted by the greatest street art artists and spread all over the city. Richmond is also a city firmly turned towards the preservation of the environment. Its goal: to reduce the CO2 rate by 45% by 2030. To achieve this, the City is counting on micro mobility and its bike share system, RVA Bike Share!

Focus on Richmond

RVA Bike Share has been managed by BWG Field Ops since 2018. This system includes 220 bikes spread over 20 stations. Since 2020, Qucit Bike has been used by BWG Field Ops teams to optimize the rebalancing of stations in this system with strong growth potential.

In our next post, we will discover the bike-share system in Pioneer Valley !
