Focus on Stockholm, Sweden!

Our blog posts series presents the different cities with which Qucit has partnered to offer mobility system optimization solutions. Discover how our solutions contribute to improving urban mobility in these areas!

Designated by the European Union as the first green capital in 2010, Stockholm is also one of the big cycling capitals of the world. The city, which extends over fourteen islands connected by fifty-seven bridges, is particularly adapted to two wheels! Indeed, to fight against traffic congestion and air pollution, the municipality strongly encourages its inhabitants to use clean transport modes. Urban tolls have been put in place to discourage motorists, public buses run on biogas, new bicycle paths are built every year... The goal is to make Stockholm fossil fuel-free by 2040! To achieve it, the Swedish capital has also invested in a new bike sharing system: Stockholm eBikes.

Qucit Bike, Stockholm

Launched in May 2022, Stockholm eBikes is Stockholm's new shared electric bike service. Managed by Inurba Mobility, the system currently has 1,000 bicycles and 112 virtual stations throughout the city, and will gradually expand to 5,100 bikes! Since August 2022, Inurba Mobility's teams have been using the Qucit Bike app on a daily basis to optimize their maintenance operations and collection of disabled bikes.

In our next post, we will discover the bike share system in Lima!
